Bloomington, Minnesota-based Information Specialists Group (ISG) was founded on April 2, 1996 by Robert McGarry Jr. as a small data collection firm. Since then, the company has grown and evolved into a full-service market research company. "We still provide the highest quality data collection, but we are also fully equipped to consult, design comprehensive studies and ultimately support our clients' most important business decisions," says McGarry.
He attributes much of the company's success to loyal base of clients, saying "we are so grateful to our clients, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. Their business has been critical to helping us grow, especially through a recession that was tough on most firms." While experienced in most industries, ISG has honed a specialization in business-to-business research, with strong expertise in agriculture, legal and healthcare industries.
The next phase for ISG includes office expansion to add to their data collection capacity, along with a more formal training facility. "Having a dedicated space to train our research staff, and the technology to connect our researchers with project managers and clients from any location will improve their education, increase their success and hopefully help to keep the best talent with us longer than the industry standard" says McGarry.
While growing and evolving, ISG intends to retain the core values that have become a point of the independent firm's differentiation. McGarry concludes "it's really about the service – the relationships we develop with our clients and the level of investment we put into every project, small or large.
